Hot Chocolate enthusiasts follow our Flavour Map to discover participating locations during the festival. The Okanagan Hot Chocolate Festival occurs over 4 weeks.

We also have flavour passports where guests collect 12 stamps or signatures from as many locations and mail the entries for a chance to win over $300 in swag and gift certificates.

Yes, we have a low entry fee of $50 per business to help with our website, printing and promotion fees. Our main goal with the festival is to support locally owned businesses during a slower time of year.

Two foodie sisters, Murissa & Taryn, decided to put on the Okanagan Hot Chocolate Festival in January of 2021. They founded foodietown.ca together and love to showcase local dining spots in British Columbia or wherever they roam.

For our 5th year we are brining back the vote for people’s choice! You can head to our website and select your favourite hot chocolate rendition and give a shout out to special service or amazing creativity you experienced.

The winner will receive 2 specialty Okanagan Hot Chocolate engraved thermos and receive a window decal to show off your win to customers.

From hot to cold. Boozy to non-alcoholic. Healthy to decadent. There’s even a dog-friendly hot chocolate! Get creative and to make the most of it, make a pairing for your hot chocolate!

Each business is in full control of their pricing.

Take a photo of you or your hot chocolate and be sure to tag @okanaganhotchocolatefest and the location that made your beverage.

We select the winner at random at the end of the festival. You can win up to $150 in swag and gift cards from our participating locations.

Each year we work with a local artist to create a colouring page or two for those who want to enter the colouring contest. Download the PDF (soon to be released), scan your colouring or take a photo and email your entry to oknghotchocolatefest@gmail.com. Winners will be drawn at random and announced after the festival Winners will be contacted by email.
